John McCain | Doug, Andy & Bridget

American politician John McCain is widely recognized for having served two terms in the US House of Representatives. He was a presidential candidate back in 2008 and he ran against Barack Obama. The conservative icon was also known as a supportive father to one huge family. Although they had their own lives, they would get together at least once a year.

He was a proud father of seven children. Two of which are his ex-wife Carol Shepp’s adopted sons from a previous marriage, Doug and Andy. Doug worked as a Navy pilot for American Airlines while Andy served as a COO over at Hensley & Co. A family-owned beer distribution company. Moreover, with his second wife Cindy Hensley, they adopted Bridget from Bangladesh in the year 1933. Bridget being born with a cleft palate became one of the main reasons why Cindy became such a big advocate for Operation Smile. The blended family continues to be close and have a great degree of appreciation for each other.
