Katherine Heigl steadily made a name for herself back in the ’90s. In the mid-2000s, she would finally garner a degree of international fame for her role as Izzy Stevens in the medical drama Grey’s Anatomy, which won her an Emmy Award in 2007. That same year, Katherine would also marry Josh Kelly, a country musician. They have been together since and have since welcomed three children into their family.

Katherine gave birth to her biological son, Joshua Jr, in 2017, but at that time, she and Josh had already adopted two children. In 2009, they adopted Naleigh from South Korea and adopted Adelaide three years later, domestically. In an Interview the actress did with Scholastic, she shared that she has an adopted sister from Korea, who her parents welcomed into their family three years before her birth. She wanted her own family to look like the one she had when she was growing up.
