Hoda Kotb | Haley & Hope
Hoda Kotb, a distinguished Egyptian-American journalist, is famous for her work with NBC on the morning news show Today, as well as hosting its entertainment-focused fourth-hour segment. She also had her stint as a correspondent for NBC’s Dateline. More than being a distinguished member of the media community, Hoda is a prominent figure who has effectively spread awareness about cancer. She is a breast cancer survivor who underwent reconstructive surgery and mastectomy in 2007.
Her morning show program, Today, followed her through her battle with cancer, and in 2010 she also published a New York Times Best-Seller titled, Hoda: How I Survived War Zones, Bad Hair, and Cancer, and Kathie Lee. More than anything, cancer left Hoda unable to have children. As such, she opted to make the legal investments to adopt her little girls, Haley and Hope, in 2017 and 2019, respectively. It marked a new chapter in her life, considering she decided to parent her two little girls at the age of 52. Moreover, Hoda also shared in an interview with People that adopting her two daughters brought joy and appreciation in her life.
