At the time, she was only 16, while the actor was five years her senior. The two worked together in the 1993 film Dazed and Confused, and by then, they might have probably fallen in love. As the actress was still a minor back then, her mother did everything to annul their marriage just two months after they tied the knot, or Andrew might face her attorney.

Jovovich later got married to Luc Besson in 1997, but that, too, ended in 1999. However, come 2009, she had finally found the man she was looking for in Paul W. Anderson.
