MICHAEL CAINE
English actor Michael Caine ranked as one of Hollywood’s highest-grossing box office stars. He made his acting breakthrough in the 1960s, and his career only spiraled upward, having received numerous accolades and credits. Caine started acting in school plays at 10 years old. He was reportedly an intelligent student, but he left school at 16, working briefly as a filing clerk and messenger. Four years later, he secured a job as an assistant stage manager who occasionally performed walk-on roles at the theatre.
The actor’s big break came in 1963 when he won a role in the play Next Time I’ll Sing To You. Thanks to film director Cy Endfield, Caine was cast in his film Zulu, which thrust him into the spotlight. He then played as the title character in Alfie, and over the years, he ventured into writing three memoirs, as well as knowledge and trivia books.
