BOB NEWHART

Bob Newhart earned a degree in business management, but he served in the United States Army in the 1950s. After he left the military, he applied for a job as an accountant and an advertising copywriter for a movie and television producer. Thanks to his friend Dan Sorkin, he was signed under Warner Bros. Records and began his comedy career. Newhart delved into stand-up comedy and performed live at nightclubs as well. He then followed up with seven successful comedy albums throughout the 1960s and went on to release albums into the 21st century.
