WOODY ALLEN

By the looks of it, Woody Allen was born possessing the makings of an entertainer. While he did have a talent for sports, with his throwing hand being an asset for the baseball teams he played for, performing always had a special place in his heart. From wowing his schoolmates with his magic tricks to making a living telling jokes, it’s no wonder he eventually made his way into the entertainment industry.

Beginning his career as a stand-up comedian, Allen eventually went to the filmmaking business. Since then, he has showcased his skills behind the camera with movies such as Sleeper, Annie Hall, Zelig, Café Society. Now enjoying his 80s, the 85-year-old icon has also made investments in other endeavors, one of which is The Film Foundation. Made alongside other beloved filmmakers, this non-profit’s sole goal is to preserve and restore prints of old films.
