WILLIAM DANIELS

William Daniels made his dancing debut at age 4. He hit the road at age 15 to become an understudy for the play Life With Father. He then made his first television work in The Hallmark Hall of Fame and found little success during his first few years in Tinseltown. It wasn’t until 1957, when iconic playwright Tennessee Williams selected him to portray Brick in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, that his career started to take off.

Fast forward to many years later, Daniels landed an acting credit as Dr. Mark Craig on the hit show St. Elsewhere. This character won him two Emmy Awards for outstanding lead actor. His wife, Bonnie, also starred as his wife on the show and won an Emmy with him the same night. In recent years, Daniels continues to act on screen and has served as the President of the Screen Actors Guild.
